Yesterday Apple presented the update to the iPhone OS. The latest version that was presented is 3.o. There are over 100 new features added to this firmware.This update is for both the iPhone 2G and iPhone 3G but some features wont be available for the iPhone 2G. I don’t know how you feel, but I think the world is ready for a new and improved iPhone . Yes, it was the best phone that 2008 brought out but with the likes of the Palm Pre , HTC Touch Diamond2 and HTC Magic about to hit town, the title for Best Phone of 2009 may just go elsewhere. Brad Neuberg told me about two cool additions to the iPhone that now use HTML5 features:"Safari JavaScript Database Programming" - store data locally on a user’s computer in amounts beyond what can reasonably be stored in an HTTP cookie, and"HTML5 Application Cache" - “Add to Home Screen” does this if a manifest is defined (per the HTML5 spec)
